UNIFORM

Students must wear the correct uniform at all times. Specific details are available from the Uniform Shop and in the student diary. Skirt/dress length is to the knees.
Junior Summer Uniform: is a light blue check dress - navy blazer - navy jumper - navy vest - white socks with blue stripe - black shoes - hat.

Senior Summer Uniform: is a light blue striped skirt and tailored white short sleeved shirt with all other accessories as for the junior summer uniform.
​
The blazer must be worn to and from school during Terms 2 and 3 and as the first item for warmth. The College jumper or vest is only to be worn under the College blazer.
​
Junior Winter Uniform: is a navy check tunic - blue & white striped long-sleeved blouse - navy V-neck jumper - navy blazer - navy vest - navy stockings or three-quarter navy socks - black shoes.
​
Senior Winter Uniform: is a navy striped skirt and tailored long sleeved blue shirt with all other accessories as for the junior uniform. The skirt length is to the knees.
Sports Uniform
The Sports Uniform is: Shirt - blue & white collared penguin-style with emblem; Shorts - navy with light blue insert down side; Track Suit - navy blue with light blue inserts down side (winter); Socks - white with blue stripe; Skirt - navy with light blue trim around hemline; Rugby Jersey - blue & white striped; Schols cap; Schols sports bag (optional).
Tracksuits for the colder weather are also available from the uniform shop.
The sports uniform is only to be worn to and from school on the day a practical lesson is timetabled.
School Bag
From 2021 all juniors and seniors will need to have the College backpack.
They are available from the Ranier Uniform Shop.
School Shoes
All students are required to wear regulation black leather school shoes which give adequate general support for feet and protection over the instep for working in Science laboratories, Food and Technology kitchens, Art rooms etc. Shoes may be lace-up or a similar style that covers the instep.

Not allowed:
-
Make-up, false eyelashes, mascara, eyeliner, coloured, dark or black nail polish or acrylic nails are not allowed.

Large hoop earrings, dangling, coloured or sparkling earrings are not allowed.

A maximum of two stud earrings can be worn in each ear.

Necklaces, bracelets, bands or rings are not allowed.

Extreme hairstyles including extremes of colour are not allowed. A student may be asked to remain at home until their hair colour is able to meet College expectations.

No visible piercings are allowed, this includes bulky plastic space holders. Band-aids are not a solution to cover piercings and are not allowed in this context.

We recommend all new students make an appointment for a fitting as soon as possible.
Fittings are by appointment only.

Uniforms will be available for purchase on the day of the fitting.

Summer and winter uniforms can be fitted at the same time.

Second Hand Uniform Room
The Second Hand Uniform Room has an extensive range of excellent quality uniforms for sale. Donations are very much appreciated; we do not accept uniforms on consignment.

Thursday: Lunch (1:35pm-2:10pm) and after school (3:20pm-4:15pm)

The Second Hand Uniform Room is open on Thursday at lunch and after school:

In the first week of Term 1, 2024 - Second Hand will also be open at lunch on Tuesday.

Due to construction, the location of Second Hand has now moved to the Boarding School (please look out for signage).
